BRONX, NEW YORK –
Through the Fordham Road

the MTA New York City Transit, and we are proud to
introduce a Metrocard Black History Promotion. This is a

at the time of purchases at participating stores
throughout New York City from February 1-March 31, 2007.
The MetroCard Black History

* MTA SubTalk subway
advertising

distributed at various subway locations

listings, including their special offer information on
the web at

"Black History
Month gives us an opportunity to celebrate the rich
history of African Americans across the nation and
state. Now, thanks to this MetroCard Black History
campaign, New Yorkers can celebrate with savings as they
shop right here in the Bronx. I applaud the Fordham Road
BID and the MTA on this wonderful collaborative effort,"
notes NYC Councilman Joel Rivera of the 15th
Council District in the Bronx.
Commenting on the benefits
of this program, Frank Mariella, store manager of
Levitz Furniture at 2480 Grand Concourse, noted
that their entire corporation is happy to support the
Fordham Road BID and its Black History Month promotion.
“This is a great way to connect with the Bronx
community and to promote our business and offer
discounts to those people who use their Metrocard during
this special Black History Month campaign,” said
Mariella.
Special thanks To NYC & Company, MTA New York City
Transit and Metrocard.
