The Metropolitan Museum of Art is accepting applications
from New York City high school teachers working in Title I
or District 75 schools for the 2015-2016 cohort of Astor Educators. Fifteen exemplary teachers (visual arts, social studies, English language arts) will be selected to
participate in an unprecedented professional learning community. Over the course of the year the cohort will develop lesson plans and instructional videos highlighting ways that experiences with works of art can support student learning and develop college and career readiness skills such as understanding other perspectives and cultures.

restoration staff from Van Cortlandt Park while
completing labs and going on great field trips! In the
