offers Certificate Programs in many critical fields of
study. |

There are three easy
steps to earning a certificate: |

GED/High School Equivalency Preparation
The
GED preparation program helps prospective test-takers prepare for
the High School Equivalency Examination.
We offer the most
indepth course with more hours at the lowest price with tutoring
classes available, and unlimited access to our Adult and Continuing
Education computer lab
for all those registered (based on scheduled availability).
Classes focus on building skills and increasing students’ background
knowledge in the five content areas of the exam (Language Arts,
Reading and Writing, Social Studies, Science and Mathematics). Our
format
offers you a more intensive experience in each of the subject areas
taught by professors with specialized expertise.
For those students who don't pass the GED examination and return to
Hostos we will provide your next GED course for $75 (based on meeting certain requirements).
Over 100 students received their GED in the
last year.

Real Estate
Certificate Program
New York
State Licensing Regulations require that all salespersons satisfy
the eligibility requirements for the New York State Real Estate
Salesperson License. This course includes contracts,
real estate instruments, financing valuation agency, laws and
ethics, land use regulations, human rights, mathematics and fair
housing.

Adults, 19 years of age or older,
can improve their academic skills at the
Adult Learning Center
The program's classes
and support services are designed to address the needs of men and
women who have spent a considerable amount of time away from a
traditional school environment and are seeking educational
development, economic independence and personal improvement.
